Terms of Use

The BA Network Effective Date: May 2026

We will be straightforward with you.

These terms exist to set clear expectations between us – not to create loopholes in our favour or catch you out. If you engage with The BA Network in good faith, these terms will never be a problem.

1. Who This Applies To

These terms apply to anyone who interacts with The BA Network in any capacity – candidates, hiring organisations, community members, training participants, project collaborators, consulting clients, or anyone engaging with our services directly or indirectly.

2. What The BA Network Is

The BA Network is a practitioner-led platform built around Business Analysis as a profession and a discipline. We operate across multiple service lines, and we continue to grow.

What we currently do and may do includes:

  • Specialist Recruitment – connecting BA talent with organisations that need them
  • Training and Development – structured programmes for aspiring and practising BAs
  • Community Building – a professional network for knowledge sharing and peer support
  • Project Consulting – independent delivery support on business analysis workstreams
  • Technical BA Services – requirements, system analysis, data mapping, solution design support
  • Non-Technical BA Services – process improvement, stakeholder engagement, change management, organisational analysis
  • Freelance and Contract Placement – short and long-term BA resource for project needs
  • Advisory and Mentoring – one-to-one and group engagements for BA career and practice development
  • Content and Knowledge Products – frameworks, templates, guides, and tools built from practitioner experience

We are not confined to one model. The BA Network exists wherever Business Analysis expertise creates value.

3. Using Our Services Honestly

We ask one thing above everything else – be honest with us.

If you are a candidate or freelancer:

  • Represent your skills, experience, and availability accurately
  • Do not misrepresent domain knowledge, technical capability, or qualifications
  • Inform us promptly if your situation changes during any active engagement

If you are a hiring or project client:

  • Share requirements, constraints, and expectations clearly and completely
  • Do not use candidate or consultant profiles for any purpose beyond the agreed engagement
  • Treat BA professionals with the respect their expertise deserves
  • Communicate outcomes and decisions in a timely manner

If you are a community member:

  • Engage respectfully and constructively at all times
  • Do not use the community to spam, solicit, or self-promote without permission
  • Contribute knowledge generously – that is what the community is built on

If you are a project or consulting client:

  • Provide timely access to stakeholders, systems, and documentation needed for delivery
  • Engage collaboratively – BA work depends on partnership, not just instruction
  • Respect agreed scope and raise changes through proper channels

4. What We Commit to You

We are not just listing your obligations. Here is what you can hold us to:

  • We will represent your interests fairly in any placement or project context
  • We will never share your information without your explicit consent
  • We will give you honest assessments, even when uncomfortable
  • We will not take on work we are not equipped to deliver
  • We will be transparent about our methods, timelines, and constraints
  • We will tell you if something is not working rather than go quiet
  • We will respond to queries within a reasonable and agreed timeframe

5. Project and Consulting Engagements

When The BA Network delivers project or consulting work:

  • Scope, deliverables, timelines, and fees will be agreed in writing before work begins
  • We will flag risks, blockers, and scope changes as they arise – not after the fact
  • Intellectual property created during an engagement will be agreed upfront – typically it belongs to the client unless otherwise stated
  • Confidential information shared during a project will be treated with full discretion and not used beyond the engagement
  • If an engagement is not going as expected on either side, we will raise it directly and work toward a fair resolution

6. Training and Courses

When you enrol in a BA Network training programme:

  • Course content is provided for your personal professional development
  • You may not redistribute, resell, or reproduce course materials without written permission
  • If a course does not deliver what was described, speak to us – we will make it right
  • Refund and cancellation terms will be stated clearly at enrolment, not buried elsewhere

7. Freelance and Contract Placements

When The BA Network places a freelance or contract BA:

  • Engagement terms including rate, duration, and notice period will be agreed in writing
  • The placed professional is expected to deliver with the same standard as any permanent hire
  • The client organisation is expected to provide a working environment that enables effective BA delivery
  • Either party may raise concerns through The BA Network and we will mediate fairly

8. Community Standards

The BA Network community is a professional space. We expect:

  • Respectful and inclusive engagement at all times
  • No discrimination, harassment, or exclusionary behaviour of any kind
  • No sharing of confidential client, employer, or project information
  • No unsolicited commercial activity within community spaces

We reserve the right to remove anyone who consistently acts against these standards. We will not do so arbitrarily or without reason.

9. Intellectual Property

Content created by The BA Network – including course materials, frameworks, templates, methodologies, and website content – belongs to The BA Network. You are welcome to apply what you learn. You may not copy, redistribute, or commercialise our materials without permission.

If you contribute original work to our community or collaborate on content with us, ownership will be agreed clearly before publication.

10. Confidentiality

Across all service lines, we treat information shared with us as confidential by default. We do not discuss client engagements, candidate details, or project specifics with outside parties. We expect the same discretion in return where relevant.

11. Liability

We always act in good faith and with genuine intent to deliver. However:

  • We cannot guarantee specific hiring, placement, or project outcomes
  • We are not liable for decisions made independently by clients, candidates, or collaborators
  • Our liability in any commercial engagement is limited to the value of fees paid for that specific engagement

What we can guarantee is that we will always be honest about what went wrong and work toward a fair resolution.

12. Ending the Relationship

You can disengage from The BA Network at any time. Let us know and we will close things cleanly, return any relevant materials, and delete your data on request.

If we ever need to end an engagement – which would only happen in cases of clear dishonesty, misconduct, or irreconcilable misalignment – we will tell you why directly and handle it professionally.

13. Changes to These Terms

If we update these terms, we will tell you what changed and why before it takes effect. We will not make material changes quietly or without notice.

14. Governing Framework

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in India, where The BA Network is based. If a dispute arises, we would always prefer to resolve it through an honest conversation before any formal process.

15. Talk to Us

If anything here feels unclear or unreasonable, tell us. These terms are meant to protect both sides equally and we are open to that conversation.

These terms are written to be understood, not to overwhelm you. The BA Network exists to create genuine value for Business Analysts and the people who work with them – across hiring, training, community, and delivery. If you are here in good faith, these terms will never work against you.
